During my time on Pinterest, I realized that I wasn’t thinking of it as a platform for social interaction but as a platform for discovering content or as a visual search engine. Later on, I used this insight to understand how to market effectively to other users.
Next, I wanted to know how Pinterest might benefit businesses. The benefits of Pinterest extend beyond simply driving traffic; it can also be used to capture leads and sell physical and digital products. In addition to increasing brand awareness and engagement, an active Pinterest profile is also an excellent way to generate leads and get more engagement; with these objectives in mind, it was time to see what strategies worked.
To gain an understanding of what successful accounts looked like and what strategies they used that proved effective, it was always helpful to consult training programs, tutorials, and videos in the early stages. My process of testing new techniques had to be continuous in order to continue to grow and achieve my goals, as what works well for one brand will not necessarily work for another, and what works in today’s Pinterest algorithm may not necessarily work tomorrow’s. As a result, it is only by trial and error, after all, that we can discover what works on a given platform.

Step 4: You should diversify your offerings.
My mistake was to turn away clients simply because they were unwilling to pay my monthly fixed rate for account management services.
I should have instead modified my service until the price point they were comfortable with matched the one I provided. In this way, my services remain affordable to them while I still earn what I believe I am worth.
Due to my openness to negotiation in the current market, I seldom have to turn away a new client for lack of time or money.
I also don’t manage every account you contact me for. Many don’t think they are creative, so they want pins created. My one-on-one Skype consultations are for those who want to learn how to optimize their personal accounts and get a detailed understanding of how to use a scheduling app.
Don’t undercut yourself by being flexible. Your rates should never be lowered; make sure your services are priced appropriately.
Step 5: Promoting, promoting, promoting
It isn’t enough that you have a full client list to stop marketing. As a result, it’s useful to have people waiting in the wings in case one of them drops off or decides they don’t need your services anymore.
However, if you do not depend heavily on this income stream, maintaining a steady stream of clients might not be your top priority. Regardless of that, having a steady stream of clients can never hurt!
Keep a running list of clients you have turned away so you can contact them in the future. When you have a free moment in your schedule or need to expand your business, you can contact them. Also, continue to promote on your website and social media.
Freelance Pinterest Consultant – How I Earn
Since I started out, the structure of my pay has changed drastically. I now make a significantly higher salary than I did when I was just starting out.
Initially, I charged $10 per hour to my first client, who also happened to be a close friend. Virtual assistants usually earn about this much in the travel blogging community.
